Deployable to any level installation site. Protect your factory, school, remote job site, parks, manufacturing plant, and business with US Tornado Shelter.
- Rapid deploy
- No foundation
- Relocatable
Near-absolute protection, by the numbers.
Engineered, built, and independently third-party reviewed to recognized life-safety standards for violent tornadoes — verified against a published standard, not asserted.
A no-nonsense premium shelter.
Engineered to the standard, not to a price point. This is not a converted shipping container or a light-gauge storm box.
Engineered & verified
Designed to FEMA P-361 and ICC-500 criteria for EF-5 / 250 MPH events, with engineering independently third-party reviewed.
Welded steel plate
A 1/4-inch welded steel envelope in structural ASTM A36 / A572 — built to resist wind-borne debris, the true killer in a violent tornado.
Capacity does the math
320 sq ft yields 64 FEMA-design / 106 maximum occupants, served by two code-compliant doors and engineered ventilation — no guesswork.
Deploy fast, relocate
An integrated transport base ships, places, and protects without a poured foundation — ideal for rentals, field ops, and phased build-outs. Nationwide.
One platform, many missions
EF-5 shelter, large-hail and high-wind refuge, and a hardened multi-use field facility — all in a single unit.

Structure, doors & interior systems.
Structure & materials
- 1/4-inch welded steel plate — fully welded wall, roof, and floor forming a continuous hardened shell.
- Structural-grade steel — ASTM A36 and A572, selected for strength, weldability, and impact toughness.
- Solid-weld construction with an integrated interior structural steel truss system, engineered for extreme-load capacity to ICC-500 / FEMA P-361 at 250 MPH.
- The integral framing is sized to preserve usable interior floor area.
Door & access system
- Two code-compliant entry/egress doors, sized to ICC-500 egress for the occupant load.
- Six 1″ stainless sliding locks (three per door), interior-operated — no exterior lock; it can't be locked from outside.
- Rated to remain operable after a design event so occupants can self-evacuate.
- Standardized TornadoLock™ "STORM SHELTER / ENTER HERE" graphics, arrows, and QR wayfinding.
Ventilation, lighting & interior
- Natural ventilation to ICC-500 net-free-area, using shielded vents that resist debris and wind-driven rain.
- Solar-charged LED lighting with battery backup for illumination through grid loss.
- Integrated bench seating for comfort during shelter-in-place.
- ADA-compliant full-size access doors standard, with accessible provisions per ICC-500 §502.

A shelter that earns its keep every day.
The same sealed steel envelope that stops 250 MPH debris keeps out rain, hail, heat, and cold — so the CSB4008 doubles as a hardened field asset between storms.
Optional electrical service
Add lighting, outlets, and equipment power to turn the unit into a working field station.
Optional climate control
Heating/cooling provisions create a warm-up / cool-down station for crews in extreme heat or cold.
Always on-site, always ready
Because it's already the crew's break room, it's staffed and occupied the moment the sirens sound — zero travel time to shelter.
